How was everyone’s Thanksgiving (if you’re in Canada)? If not, then why not be thankful today anyway. As I work early in the mornings on weekends, this was my first chance to sleep in, in a long time… and I only managed to sleep in until 8:30am. That’s fine, I get that I’ve sort of trained sleeping in out of my body and I’m okay with that.
I started my day off with a P90X Core Synergistic Workout, followed by some gluten free pancakes. They were delicious. I mixed some pecans and cinnamon in with the batter, and the result was heavenly. My condiments included a banana, peanut butter (if you’ve never tried this, you’re missing out), brown sugar, coconut yogurt, and oh yeah… some maple syrup. Now I didn’t use all of these together, just different combinations. I haven’t had a cooked breakfast all week, so I figured I’d treat myself today, seeing as how I had the time. While I ate I watched Glee’s new episode “The Break-Up” on my PVR.
After breakfast I walked to Stanley Park and rehearsed in the woods for a couple of hours, and then returned home to cook dinner. Dinner consisted of chicken, sweet potatoes (cooked with brown sugar, cinnamon, apples, pecans, and cranberries), and some broccoli. I also made a gluten-free pumpkin pie for dessert.
What is your favorite Thanksgiving Day dish? And what is your favorite memory from today? I’m always so busy working on a billion different projects, that my favorite memory was just getting the opportunity to spend some quality time with my boyfriend, Greg. Although I did have a productive day today, some times you really do just need to put the work down.
This is just a short post today, but I wanted to send out a reminder to live everyday to the fullest, and appreciate every opportunity and every person you come into contact with. Oh, and by the way… you deserve it.
