In case you have not yet seen some of the changes I’ve made with my website, check out my “Milestones” page. I have been planning on making some changes with my blog for awhile, and now I finally have. I am going to continue to work through the exercises in various self-help books, but this time not just with the purpose of completing the exercise – I am looking for much bigger results. Lately, the payoff of all my hard-work has begun to feel a little bit fuzzy. Upon closer examination, I have found my work-ethic to be somewhat mindless, in that what I am working towards isn’t entirely clear. It is only my addiction to work which keeps me at my desk, but what about my goals? Each goal must be measurable, and will most likely end up being one of the goals listed on my “Milestones” page. I have become somewhat unmotivated with the subject of my blog as of late, and I wanted to reinvent it slightly so that it’s contents could be more beneficial to both you and me. In my milestones page, I have listed a variety of different goals that I have for myself in my life. Every time that a goal is reached, I will change the font to red, and add the date said goal was accomplished. As time goes on, I’m going to continue to add to the list. I want to be constantly moving forward in my life, and so this list will never be complete.
So, let the re-invention begin. I am going to start small with the splits. This has been a frustrating one for me. Over the last several years I have been consistently trying to do the splits, but have always ended up giving up when I got too sore. I did a little bit of research online and found a splits regime that I quite like. It’s a 6 week program, and I will update you on my progress once a week. By following this stretching regimen religiously, I should be able to do the splits in all 3 directions in 6 weeks time.
So let’s make the due date for this mini challenge (if I start tomorrow: November 8, 2011) Christmas (December 25th).
Click here to view the stretching regime I will be following. I am very serious about this. When I first did P90X, I did it to prove to myself that I could start something and finish it. I felt so proud of myself when I accomplished that goal, and I am ready to experience that feeling again.
Do you have any goals that you have been putting off? Take this opportunity to make a plan to change that goal into an achievement, and share your plans either in the comments section below, or on my facebook page. Good luck.
