To view my bucket list for my life, click here.

I started this blog March 2012, and so much has changed since then. I graduated from an Acting School, became a spin class instructor, started writing my own health and wellness column for the “Capilano Courier.” When I started this blog I felt lost and discouraged. I was stuck in a job I hated, and I felt that I was turning into a failure. By following the principles in these self-help books I have really started to turn my life around. With everything that has changed, I feel the need to rewrite my mission statement:

My mission statement for 2013:

As a confident and forward-thinking person, I enter into every project (no matter the size) with a mind that’s open to adventure. I believe in myself,  and I am both excited and grateful for every opportunity that I attract into my life.

If you visit my main Milestones page, you’ll see my goals and ambitions for my life. The following are my goals for 2013. I think that it’s going to be a big year.

30 Books I want to read in 2013 (in no particular order)

I also want to make a list of books I’d like to tackle in the new year. I have SOOO many books on my to-read shelf, that it is slightly overwhelming. I would like to read at least 50 books in 2013, but I thought I’d start by listing 30 books I want to read for sure. If you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear them. I’ve separated my list of 30 into 3 categories: Fiction, Non Fiction, and Acting.

When it comes to non fiction, I am absolutely fascinated by anything that has to do with the brain, and the benefits of positive thinking. If I had the science smarts, I think neurology would be a fascinating career to go into.

When it comes to fiction, I am a sucker for the classics. I am also a huge fan of Kazuo Ishiguro. “The Remains of the Day” is probably my favourite book of all time. Ian McEwan, Jodi Picoult, and J.K Rowling are pretty high up there as well. I’m ashamed that I haven’t read J.K. Rowling’s newest book yet. There should be AT LEAST 4 more hours added on to every day. Then, maybe, I would have enough time to finish everything I want to accomplish.quiet_the_power_of_introverts_in_a_world_that_cant_stop_talking_by_susan_cain4

I also think I’d like to start writing book reviews. It’s something that I’ve wanted to get into for awhile, so no better time than the present to start.

I love this project you’re working on! There are so many books I’d like to read too, I should probably make a list like you are doing now, and check them off as the year goes by 🙂

Christine Bissonnette

You definitely should. What kind of books do you like? Maybe I can recommend some.
