The teacher who I refer to at the beginning of this post is one of my instructors from the voice intensive I attended in May and June, Gerry Trentham.

I’d like to introduce this post with a moment of gratitude for all of the teachers who have made a difference in my life – teachers who I’ve studied with directly and indirectly. I’ve always considered the authors I read as my teachers, and as often as possible I try to take their advice as if it was imparted to me specifically. It’s important to feel like someone has your back.

I’ve said it over and over: growth is scary.

Our physical bodies change; as we learn and reach greater levels of understanding, our minds expand; our beliefs alter with every relationship and interaction; our self-perception shifts as we learn new skills, as we succeed, as we fail. The person who set the intention, will be different then the person who eventually lives it. Right now, I’m finding the courage to be okay with that.

“Holding on is believing that there’s only a past; letting go is knowing that there’s a future.” – Daphne Rose Kingma

Ever hear that saying about how you have to make room for something new?

And with that little introduction, I’d like to share part II in my Intention Series with Mala Collective. Enjoy.

The journey of Mala Collective started on the lush island of Bali, Indonesia. My own journey with them started in October 2014 when I slipped the very first of their mala’s onto my wrist. “I am adventurous” was the intention connected with that mala. 9 months later… let’s just say I’m a believer.

I’m doing a giveaway with them!

Because I think choosing a mala is a fairly intimate decision, I’ve asked that the winner get to choose the one that resonates most with them (72$ value or less). The contest will be announced tomorrow. Stay tuned!!
